Session with Brenda & Kenny

Brenda contacted me about doing a shoot with her, just for fun casually.
She's a really cool person I just met this year, very fun, and at times I think of her as a little sister to me.

My friend Kenny walked on by, and she thought it would be cool to have him take a couple pictures with her...... or a lot! =]















Kenny's also an avid photographer perhaps one day he'll take pictures of Brenda himself in all her cuteness. We had lots of fun, smiles, giggles, and laughter the whole afternoon.

Baby Session with Makayla

I had a pretty fun time with Tina and her baby Makayla recently.

Makayla is super cute and was very cooperative with the photo shoot.
I wonder what she'll look like when she gets older. Maybe I'll do another one in 10 years for her again.











Right after I took this picture, it started to rain. Seeing as I didn't want my camera to get messed up and Makayla to get sick in this weather we decided to pack up and leave. Not getting all the shots I had in mind, we'll try this once again one day when it's warm.

It's getting pretty dark really fast each night now. I arrived on location at about 4pm with not much sunlight left to take tons of pictures.

Quynh dearly loves her dog Ellie. These will be turned into Christmas cards for the holidays.

Ellie was a bit hard to work with, not wanting to sit still and gets distracted but it was good. At the end of the night, I sat down to find some very gratifying images I took. Seeing the love between a person and their dog shares made me hug my own dog once I got home.

Hey everyone!

My name's Nicholas Nguyen, I work as a freelance photographer in the beautiful city of Chicago. I started this blog to keep people updated with the different photo shoots I have. Being a freelance photographer you pretty much take all the jobs you could take. I mainly specialize in people photography shooting weddings, however it's a seasonal job so there's many other jobs that are taken up throughout the year.

I find that there are many personalities in Chicago, I love finding such exquisite character when meeting a new person. To show it off is a beautiful thing, in a whole new way nobody has ever seen before. To make someone go "wow" is my greatest achievement. Working with others, I find myself exploring deeper into the way they think, the way they act and ultimately photographically expressing my subject.

With each photo shoot I learn something new. Within the people I work with, there is something new to learn every day. So I'll stop yammering here, and let you proceed to check out my content.

Most each and every photo shoot will hopefully be blogged. It may take me a while to getting it up on the web, and I might not be able to do every single one. Let's see how much I can keep up with this. =]
